In October 2026, Guillermo made his German debut with two recitals: on 16 October in Krefeld, as part of the Kawai Konzerte series, and on 18 October in Langenberg. The Krefeld concert earned an enthusiastic review in the Westdeutsche Zeitung, under the headline “18-year-old pianist impresses”.
Krefeld, 16 October
It was the fifth Kawai Piano Evening of 2026, held in the Helmut-Mönkemeyer-Saal of the Musikschule Krefeld. Kawai Europa has run the series since 1993 to support young pianists. Guillermo played a Shigeru Kawai SK-7 grand with this programme:
- Haydn: Andante with Variations in F minor, Hob. XVII:6
- Brahms: Piano Sonata No. 1 in C major, Op. 1
- Chopin: Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23, and Tarantelle, Op. 43
- Stravinsky: Trois mouvements de Petrouchka
Encores: Schumann-Liszt’s Widmung, his own paraphrase on Beethoven’s Turkish March, and a quiet good-night piece of his own.
What the critic said

The review on the Westdeutsche Zeitung website.
Writing in the Westdeutsche Zeitung, Günter Schultz said Guillermo “already radiates an artistic maturity that delighted the audience” in a sold-out hall. In the Haydn, “each variation had its own distinct personality.” He praised the balance between the power of the opening and the lightness of the line in the Brahms, and a Chopin that felt spontaneous, as if the music were unfolding in the moment.
The closing Petrushka was “simply magnificent”, a “mature, remarkably convincing interpretation”. His verdict: with this recital, Guillermo has recommended himself for even greater challenges.

Langenberg, 18 October
Two days later, on Sunday 18 October at 5 pm, he gave his second recital in Langenberg, performing the same programme.

Thank you to Kawai Europa, the Musikschule Krefeld and the German audience for such a warm welcome.
